"YOU ARE A FEAST FOR MY SENSES (Jij bent een feest voor mijn zintuigen) omvat voor mij alles waar Cor Unum voor staat, om draait en mijn persoonlijke ervaringen.
Het zijn alle mensen bij Cor Unum, het materiaal, de vormen, de kleuren, het gevoel als je een werk in je handen hebt, de geur in de werkplaats. Maar ook hoe er met mensen, materiaal en de planeet om wordt gegaan."

Dit is mijn ode aan Cor Unum - om door te geven met of zonder knipoog.

This is me 19 years old working at Bas van Pelt -

This is me 19 years old working at Bas van Pelt - one of the oldest interior design studios of the Netherlands. Started there - just a few hours a week while I was in high school - and ended up working almost fulltime. I entered a completely new world but learned lessons I still value and cherish today.
I’ve worked there for nearly a decade and the architects (amongst others Dick Brouwers and Janni van Pelt) taught me everything there was to know about interior architecture based on the minimalistic and De Stijl principles.

“Do we still have time for a final rehearsal? Can we pass on our planet with propriety to the generations to come?

For future generations, we must keep the rudder straight to preserve a habitable and livable planet. But where do we go, which direction to take?

We all have to do it, together and collaboratively, even if we have different perspectives, sometimes back to back, consultatively, and put your shoulders to the wheel.”

MADE OF: local Douglas wood from Royal Estates De Horsten in Wassenaar. Sustainably sawn by wind at national monument wood sawmill De Salamander in Leidschendam (near The Hague) by an expertteam of voluntary millers and wood craftsmen
